Sunshine, serves, and generosity were all in abundance at this year’s Ladies Charity Tennis Day and Lunch, where 28 enthusiastic players took to the courts for a morning of friendly competition, laughter, and giving back.
Despite the heat, spirits were high with plenty of rallies, smiles, and good-natured matchplay. After working up an appetite, players were joined by additional guests as 40 delicious lunches were served—making it not only a sporting success but a social one too. Congratulations to the morning's highest scorer Jurate!
The day was all about supporting a fantastic local cause, and thanks to everyone’s generosity through entry fees and raffle ticket sales, we’ve already raised a brilliant amount. The raffle is still open, with tickets available to buy on Finals Day this Saturday 5th July—so there’s still time to get involved!
A huge thank you goes out to the many people who helped make the day such a success:
It was a day full of community spirit, laughter, and shared purpose. Here's to more rallies, more sunshine—and more support for local causes.
A huge thanks and congratulations go to Gill Dowling and Alison Newman for organising such a successful event.
