SUCCESS FOR JOSH WILSON AT THE NATIONAL 18U CHAMPIONSHIPS

Josh Wilson recently travelled to Nottingham to play in the 18U National Championships. He had a very successful week in reaching both the Singles and Doubles Finals but unfortunately lost in both Finals. Congratulations to Josh on a good week as he continues to climb in the rankings on both the National and International front.

JUNIOR TRAINING CAMP IN ALICANTA

Our coaches James and Adam recently took a party of fifteen juniors to Spain for a week of training camp and competition. They were joined by Javier who had recently left our Coaching Staff to return to his native Spain. They spent most of day at the Club de Campo Alicante where there was a weeklong competition and used the facilities there for their training camp base. This was a Country Club Style facility which not only provided excellent tennis facilities but also included a full size Olympic swimming pool. The players all worked hard during the week and played some competitive matches during the tournament. Congratulations on a successful week.

There were a lot of good performances from our Junior Players as can been seen from the results. Congratulations to Anna and Jack for winning their Singles events. Special mention to Anya, even though losing in the U12 Girls Final, putting up a fierce resistance to her opponent which kept both the crowd and BBQ queue totally engrossed for over two hours.

Congratulations to Charlotte and Sofia for winning both the U18 Girls and Open Women Doubles event and to Charlotte and Dad Jason for winning the QUORN Family Tennis Cup event.

The Tournament once again generated a surplus in the region of £2,400 for the club.
