A message from our friends at Reigate Squash Club
A CPR and defibrillator training session is being held at Reigate Squash Club on Friday 19th September, 7.00pm.
We have a few places left and would like to extend an invitation to the tennis club members. So, if you would like to come, please contact Sarah Marrington on 07986 665098 or sarahlmarrington@yahoo.com (note the lower case L between sarah and marrington).
More information:
Our trainer, David Sullivan, along with club member Francis Fernandes and his wife Caron will be running the session for us. Their previous sessions at the club were brilliant, so full of information, including explaining the difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest. Francis will tell his own story of his life being saved by CPR and David will run through clear step by step instructions on when and how to carry out CPR using a defibrillator. There will then be an invaluable opportunity for everyone to try CPR using defibrillators on a selection of dummies. And all your questions answered too. This really is a superb life skill to acquire.
This session is being funded by the squash club but we would appreciate a £5 donation on the evening - you might find that it's the best fiver you've ever spent! So sign up, meet some new people, possibly bump into some you know too. The bar will be open from 6.30pm and we'll kick off the session at 7.00pm. You'll be very welcome.
