Report 1 by Julie Robley-Dixon
On a beautiful summers day, the Reigate girls Sofia, Charlotte, Madeleine and Amelia prepared to take on Guildford Tennis Academy – the top team in Division 1 who have won every single set and match played so far. The team were as good as their ratings suggested and as the afternoon unfolded the Reigate girls battled hard but were unable to overcome the opposition. Some excellent tennis was played and everyone won a number of games during their sets so despite the score line there has been some valuable experience gained. Final score Reigate LTC 0 GTA 12.

Top of the Table for Reigate 9&U Team! Our 9&U team came up against a fairly inexperienced Team England side but stayed focussed throughout as they ran out 20-0 winners. Straight set victories in the opening doubles matches established a platform from which Olivia, Harry, Jacob and Luca did not look back. All eight singles rubbers were then never in doubt, with only one match going beyond 2 sets. This result caps off an unbeaten campaign for our 9&U team and sees them finish first in their Aegon league. Well done and congratulations to all the team players. End of season party next!

Well done to the RLTC 8&U Team 2 (or I should say 2 1/2) after a successful fixture on Sunday against Tennis England Red 10 team (24 – 8). Due to shortage of players Ben Lee and Luqman Mukhtar from the third team joined William and Luca. Special thanks to both considering Ben did also an external matchplay in the morning and Luqman had just 24 hrs notice for the fixture as unfortunately Emily had an injury. Emily is disappointed not to be able to join and I want wish her a speedy recovery and many more matches in the future. It was pretty much one sided contest with some exciting rallies. I would like to thank everybody for the help in umpiring, scoring and for making a very nice day for the kids.

The Aegon U12 girls 2nd team moved into 1st place in their division with a 4-2 win against Purley U12 girls first team.Annabella Woodruff played a great match against Purley's No1 showing exceptional court coverage and running out a 6-4, 6-1 winner. Ella McWilliams unfortunately lost yet another tight singles rubber falling to Purley's No2 in a 3rd set champions tie break 3-6, 7-6, 1 (11)-0. Going into the doubles it was all to play for. The girls have been working on their on court communication and it was good to hear "yours" has now been retired in favour of "mine"! The new mindset manifested itself in the score line as the girls combined well to win 7-5, 6-2.
Report 5 Julie Robley-Dixon
The final AEGON match of the 2016 season was a home match against Woking Tennis club. The Reigate team consisted of Sofia, Charlotte, Madeleine and Amelia. Reigate quickly established dominance over the Woking girls who had 2 players playing up an age group. There was some excellent finishing resulting in the matches being concluded fairly swiftly, in most cases to 6-0. The doubles matches were a similar story with the Reigate girls making the play and there was some excellent volleying from both pairs. Reigate finish second in their league behind Guildford Tennis Academy. We can look forward to the challenges of of the 2017 season which will see some of the girls moving up to the U16 age group.
So a very successful AEGON season with three teams finishing 1st in their division and some close runner-up positions. Also the two teams playing in the top tier Division 1 namely Girls 12U/14U Team 1 more then held their own against the top girls in Surrey.
